
Julie: the one who sees it all
Born in 1987, Julie is what you would call a true film enthusiast. Whilst
currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in English and American studies at
Charles University in Prague, she is also co-organizing a regular short film
screening night called iShorts. Julie studied film at the Tisch School of the
Arts at New York University where she received a full scholarship for one
semester. She shot making-of films for a number of feature films and worked on
production of such projects as The Amazing Race or the international premiere of
The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Being fluent in French, English and
Russian, and having experience with work in film, advertising, food blogging,
sauna managing, tennis refereeing and pub crawl leading, you can be sure that
with Julie, your project will be taken the best care of.

Alexandra: born to be an artist
Alexandra was born in Krasnodar, Russia in 1989, starting a third generation
of artists in her family. She studied at the art school “Zamecek” in Pilsen.
Alexandra specializes in promotional and graphic design and her work was praised
for example at the International competition “Do you know Anton Pavlovic
Chekhov” where she received the Jury Award. In 2009, she placed 1st at the
Design Against Fur: Fashion Victim competition with her “Rabbit” poster.
Currently, she is the head graphic designer of all the visuals for iShorts short
film screening night. She loves food and dance music, and of course, film.

Tom: the visual innovator
Lover of art – concept and abstraction, Tom finds his inspiration for
graphic work in nature and mainly music. He studies graphic design and visual
communication at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design. In 2008, he
started a graphic studio that specializes in web design. Under a
graphic-designer-nickname Garcy, Tom was awarded the Silver Medal at the
American Design Awards. He claims to be obsessed with B&W, likes to
experiment and to get interactive with the end-user of his graphic projects. An
orthodox minimalist, as he likes to call himself, Tom has recently produced the
graphics of the new iShorts website. His work was acclaimed in the major Czech
design magazines.

Adam: the „picture-perfect“ one
Apart from being fluent in Mandarin Chinese and having some of the funniest
Facebook statutes, Adam is an acclaimed photographer who worked with such
clients as Renault, Mitsubishi, Castrol Nestlé, Universal Music, EMI Music, O2,
Vodafone, Pepsi and numerous fashion magazines. Adam studied at the School of
Oriental and African studies at London University and Beijing Normal University.
His photo work was awarded at Photo Awards in New York and the Czech Art
Director's Club's Louskacek, and acclaimed at Four Lions in Cannes and Czech
Advertising Photographer. Adam's photographs were displayed at numerous
exhibitions.

Julius: the one awarded by Danny Boyle
Born in Prague in 1978, Julius has a diploma from Film Academy in New York
(1997/1998). He also studied directing at FAMU – Film and TV School of
Academy of Performing Arts in Prague where he received a Masters Degree in
2006. He shot numerous short films and two feature lenght movies (all in
international co-productions) which were acclaimed or awarded at film festivals
in New York, Clermond-Ferrand, Taipei and Moscow, Recently, Julius won a best
director award at Shanghai film festival for his latest feature film Normal –
The Düsseldorf Ripper, starring Milan Knazko and Dagmar Havlova. Julius
currently lives in Prague and Los Angeles and is busy working on his new movie
projects. Oh, and he loves the team of Closer!

Marek: the one who should be behind your camera
Marek, born in 1988, is currently studying cinematography at FAMU – Film
and TV School of Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Apart from
cinematography, Marek has vast work experience with video, film and photo
postproduction, 2D animation and color grading. His mastery in cinematography
was acclaimed in 2009 when he won an award for the best cinematography at the
FAMU film festival. Marek's behind-the-camera film projects include numerous TV
films for Czech television, music videos, TV commercials and making-of films.

Shakir: the one you want to have on your set
Shakir was born to be on the set. Albeit being so young, he has already
worked as assistant director on over 150 commercials for such clients as
Heineken, Microsoft, XBox, Renault, Stella Artois, Skoda Auto, IKEA and many
many more. Apart from commercials and short films, he also worked as 1st AD on a
number of Czech feature films, namely Bobule (dir. Tomáš Bařina), Normal
(dir. Julius Ševčík) and 2Bobule (dir. Vlad Lanné). And it does not stop
there – Shakir also worked on international projects including Casino Royal,
Omen and Babylon AD. As a director, Shakir is behind numerous music videos,
short films, commercials and TV shows. With Shakir, there will always be a good
spirit on the set.
